Many
of you may remember that for several years, WISP hosted summer interns
who were priests from Africa that were studying communications in Rome. One of those interns was Fr. Richard Koskei from
Kenya. We have just learned that Fr. Richard, who had suffered with heart
problems for several years, died last week on December 10th. He
had been ordained in 1992 and worked as an intern for Holy Spirit
Radio back in 2003. He then graduated from the
Pontifical
Gregorian
University
in
Rome
with a Masters Degree in Social Communications. His dream was to start
a Catholic radio station in
Kenya.
Holy Spirit Radio mourns the death of this young and dynamic priest.
As a radio family, let us pray, "Eternal rest grant unto him, O
Lord, and may Your perpetual light shine upon him."
The
Diocese of Kericho, Kenya has an article posted here.
