Troubleshooting - Local Programming on the Net

• The File is playing in the media player but there is no sound - Check that your speakers are probably plugged into the sound card and the volume is turned up.  Most media players have a volume setting on the player, but you may also need to check the system volume.  In Windows, the sound setting may be changed by clicking on the speaker symbol located in the lower right hand corner of your screen (you may need to click the arrow on the system tray to show the speaker icon).

• I use Real Player and all that is happening is the file is downloading - This is because the default method to play mp3 files for Real Player is to download the complete file.  To change this setting in Real Player 10 follow these steps:

1. Open Real Player

2. Go to Tools (located on the upper right side of the player)

3. Choose Preferences from the drop down menu

4. Choose Playback options

5. Check the box located at the bottom titled "Instantly Playback web media links instead of downloading them"

6. Click OK
