At Home with Jim & Joy
Jim and Joy Pinto were born and
raised in New Jersey, met in their teens, dated for six years and after
experiencing a profound conversion to Christ, married in 1977. The Pintos are
blessed with four children and nine grandchildren. Jim served as a priest in the
Anglican tradition for over twenty years and returned to the Catholic Church as
a layman, with Joy, in 2003.
The Pintos are faithful members of
the Cathedral of St. Paul, Birmingham, Alabama and are supported in their
apostolate by their bishop, Robert J. Baker, S.T.D. Jim is a Pastoral Associate
with Priests for Life and National Coordinator for the Missionaries of the
Gospel of Life Lay Associates. Joy serves as Executive Director of Her Choice
Birmingham Women’s Center, a Pregnancy Resource Center in the heart of
Birmingham, Alabama.
